Our Story
The Best of Nollywood Awards is a prestigious annual event at the forefront of African Cinema. Established in 2009 by the founder/CEO of Best of Nollywood Magazine, the BON Awards celebrates the rich heritage of stories from Nigeria’s film industry. The event serves as a benchmark for excellence by recognising outstanding achievements in various film categories and showcasing the industry’s creativity, talent and dedication. BON Awards is not just a platform to honour the current luminaries of Nollywood. It also plays a crucial role in nurturing and promoting upcoming talents, making it a pivotal moment in the African film calendar. The Awards, hosted in a different Nigerian state annually, have impacted diverse cultural landscapes, showcasing the widespread influence of Nollywood nationwide.
